We are looking for a DevOps Tech Lead to join our team in developing the world's leading video commerce and streaming platform. This role is remote-first with some travel required for company events and is open to applicants in Ireland.


Who you are

You've been delivering infrastructure, processes and automations for Cloud applications for at least the last three years. You're motivated by both team and personal success, you're a fast learner and passionate about technology.


Able to work effectively remotely, you're generally a happy human and enjoy talking to other people to get work done. You're confident in your ability and able to take ownership of delivering enterprise-level CI/CD driven infrastructure.


You have led small projects already and are confident as a technical leader - ready to mentor other engineers and participate at a senior level in projects.


You already know how best to deliver software into production, and have demonstrable experience managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform.


You are looking to hone your skills in DevOps, continuous delivery and micro-services in a modern complex environment with an exciting market leader.


What you'll be doing

You will be building and running infrastructure to support our core video CMS product 'Ediflo' which serves billions of views to millions of customers all around the globe.


As a technical leader, you will join projects to act as an expert consultant to help other engineers bridge the gap to operations. You will lead the technical delivery and ensure high-quality software and processes are developed by a small team of DevOps engineers. This is not a management role but purely technical leadership.


You will be joining a team of twenty-eight engineers in a company of fifty with a constant flow of varied and interesting work in different industries and technologies.


Typical duties might include:

  • Participating in functional and security reviews
  • Defining caching and security policies for planet-scale streaming solutions
  • Optimising and refactoring existing environment and micro-services
  • Building dashboards and telemetry systems
  • Defining and building continuous integration workflows
  • Initially migrating Kubernetes micro-services from Google Cloud and deploying into AWS Lambda

The role requires

You will be working with a team that is inventing the future of video commerce and interactive storytelling. Ideally, you will have the following:

  • At least three years of experience developing software for production environments
  • Experience with various markup and data languages
  • Knowledgeable about SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with containers, Serverless and edge computing
  • Experience with HTTP Caching
  • Understanding of security principles in modern software
